The Wimbledon Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, also known as the England Club, based at Church Road, Wimbledon, London, England, is a private members’ club. It is best known as the venue for the Wimbledon Championships, the only Grand Slam tennis event still held on grass.
The Championships, Wimbledon also known as the simply Wimbledon or the Championships is the most prestigious tennis tournament of the world. It’s played annually in the month of last Monday of June or first Monday of July for two weeks.

Prize money is awarded to winning player in each category which is announced well before commencement of tournament. It’s being increased every year gradually.
