French Open 2020 Postponed Until September due to CoronaVirus

Due to the severe outbreak of CoronaVirus (Covid-19) many tennis tournaments have been postponed or rescheduled. The  FFT French Tennis Federation has announced that Roland Garros /French Open 2020.

“The current confinements measures have made impossible for us to continue with the originally planned dates.”

So the Grand Slam event has been re-scheduled from 20th September to 04th October 2020. Earlier it was scheduled to start from 18th May 2020.

The President of FFT has further stated that the health of tennis professionals and community can’t be compromised, that’s why this bold decision has been taken. We are responding to CorronaVirus more responsibly.

What about Tickets of French Open 2020?

The FFT has explained that ticket holders have two options. Either they can take a refund or replace the existing ticket to a new schedule of the tournament. The refund and reschedule process will be announced later in the press.
